Crafted from Himalayan Nettle.
Himalayan Giant Nettle, known locally as Allo, is a wild, self-sustaining plant found abundantly across the middle hills of the Himalayas (1200 to 3000 meters in elevation). It grows in the valleys and surrounding district leading up to the Everest region.
Handmade in Nepal. For generations, local communities have carefully harvested this plant by hand, transforming it into a soft yet incredibly stong natural fibre.
The process is slow and deeply rooted in tradition. After harvesting, the stalks are stripped, soaked, beaten, washed, spun into yarn and finally woven by skilled artisans.
Every step is done with patience, craftsmanship and respect for nature.
It's naturally durable, breathable and beautifully textured. It becomes softer with every wear while maintaining its strength, making it a timeless fabric to treasure for years to come.
By choosing these pieces, you're supporting traditional craftsmanship, helping preserve an ancient weaving tradition and celebrating the beauty of natural materials.
Each piece carries a story - from the mountains of Nepal to your wardrobe.
How to take care of me.
Wash in cold water in a wash bag. After washing, the fibres may become softer.
Do not expose to hot water as it makes the fabric shrink.
